Campus Slammer is a series of Story Slams (contests) that take place on college campuses throughout the State of Connecticut.

The Connecticut Storytelling Center (CSC) is sponsoring the 2013 Campus Slammer -
Story Slams and Finals to encourage the development of storytellers and listeners
in our college campus communities.

The Connecticut Storytelling Festival hosts the finals and a showcase of the winners.

Several college campuses around the state are holding local Campus Slammer's in 2013:

• Koffee on Audubon (coffeehouse)
  104 Audubon Street, New Haven, CT – March 15 Time: TBA
  
  
• U. of Hartford, Hartford, CT – March 21 7:30 p.m.
  
  
• The Buttonwood Tree (Performing Arts & Cultural Center)
  605 Main Street, Middletown, CT – March 28 Time: TBA
  
  
• Connecticut College - Coffee Grounds Coffeehouse on campus,
  270 Mohegan Ave., New London, CT –  March 29 7:30 p.m.
  
  
• Eastern Connecticut State U. – Student Center April 9 7:00 p.m.
  
  
• Western Connecticut State U. – Alumni Hall during Coffeehouse April 11
  open mic 8:00 p.m., Slam 9:00 p.m.
  
  
• UCONN –  Writers Retreat April 12 9:30 a.m.
  
  
• Manchester Community College – April 19 4:30 p.m.
  

The winner and runner up of each campus advance to the Slammer Finals to be
held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut.

All participants at the Campus locations will receive free passes to the April 26 and 27, 2013,
Connecticut Storytelling Festival featuring storyteller Willy Claflin.
